O Carbolitium-Cr é indicado para o tratamento de indivíduos com transtorno bipolar, diminuindo a frequência dos episódios maníacos e a intensidade destes quadros. Indicado também para a prevenção da fase depressiva e tratamento de hiperatividade psicomotora. Quando dado a um paciente em episódio maníaco, o Carbolitium-Cr pode normalizar os sintomas num período que varia de 1 a 3 semanas.
